X-Men:First Class is in Session
The X-Men are back, and this time, younger and sexier than before. Set in 1963, X-Men: First Class is a prequel to the previous X-Men films, and will feature Professor Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. Before they became Professor X and Magneto, the two were the best of friends, two mutants exploring their powers while learning what it is like living in a world where mutants are feared and discriminated against.
Familiar faces such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Wolverine will not be seen much in the movie. The White Queen Emma Frost of the Hellfire Club, and Havok, the brother of Cyclops, will be featured in the prequel. Other mutants from previous installments will also make an appearance, namely scientist Dr. Hank McCoy (Beast), and shapeshifter Raven Darkholme (Mystique). Don't be surprised to see these mutants feature prominently on X Men shirts this summer.
The Xavier School for Gifted Mutants, founded by Charles Xavier, teaches young mutants how to harness their powers for the greater good. The students in the school form the superhero team known as the X-Men, who strive to protect a world that hates them. Magneto, the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, fights the X-Men, believing in the superiority of mutants over humans. It is this titanic struggle which features on many X Men t shirts.
The movie will also feature the Hellfire Club, a secret society of mutants with plans of world domination. It is headed by Sebastian Shaw (The Black King), played by Kevin Bacon. The Club will be the main antagonists in the movie.
The franchise looks to be in great health with plenty of fresh t shirts with X Men on them available to buy. Director Matthew Vaughn envisions the film as the first of a trilogy. X-Men: First Class deals with more mature, and serious themes than previous movies in the franchise. The producer is Bryan Singer, who previously directed the first two X-Men movies. The movie is headlined by actors James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and January Jones.
